What it is worth, and where those numbers come from

asking £2,000 others ask £9,795 floor £6,795

This is too far under the market to be a bargain. At this depth the corpus holds gearboxes, spares or repairs listings and wanted adverts. It may still be a genuinely mispriced car, which is why it is here at all, but check what is actually being sold before anything else.

Advertised £7,795 above the asking price 79.6%

Where these numbers come from

Even the bottom quarter of the market asks £4,795 more than this car. Nothing measured here says you would lose money on it. What is unmeasured is whether the car is what the advert says.

No achieved sale prices. eBay only shows sold prices to a signed in session: run npm run ebay:login once.

Resale, from live listings

  • £9,795 Auto Trader asking prices asking prices · 15 seen
  • £8,190 eBay listings asking prices · 48 seen, £1,020 to £12,980 every mileage, not just cars like this one

The floor

  • £6,795 bottom quarter of cars like this one three in four comparable cars at this mileage are advertised above this, out of 15 counted

The buying rule

Against Auto Trader asking prices alone at £9,795, this car is 79.6% under, and the rule is 20% or more under. It does not qualify. That figure uses one source on purpose, because it is the market this car would be resold into.

One or more figures were measured when the car was found, not just now.

What the seller wrote

2015 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Selling my 15-plate Range Rover Evoque diesel in grey. The car has been working absolutely fine for as long as I've owned it, but it has recently decided it doesn't want to start. I don't know exactly what the fault is and I don't want to start throwing money at diagnostics and repairs, so I've decided to sell it as it is. Someone who knows their way around these cars may be able to diagnose and sort it fairly easily, but I genuinely don't know what the problem is, so please buy on the basis that it is a non-runner and will need to be recovered/towed away. Apart from the current starting issue, it has been a good car for me. Ideal for someone mechanically minded, a project, repair and resale, or spares/repair. Message me if genuinely interested or if you'd like any more information.
